Our client is a well-established business brokerage and M&A advisory firm that helps owners of privately held companies plan and execute successful exits while guiding qualified buyers through acquisitions. They combine local market expertise with broad buyer reach, prioritizing confidentiality, accurate valuation guidance, and end-to-end transaction support.

The team is expanding top-of-funnel efforts to engage more business owners who are exploring succession or sale. As a fractional SDR, you will open doors with owners and their trusted advisors, creating high-quality first meetings for an experienced advisory team.

This is a fractional SDR role, which pays commissions of $500 per qualified meeting.

What you will do

  • Drive outbound pipeline to owners and executives of privately held businesses, as well as key influencers such as CFOs, controllers, and family advisors
  • Run targeted, multi-channel outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to educate prospects on confidential, end-to-end sell-side support
  • Qualify interest and fit using provided criteria and talk tracks (timing, business profile, goals, confidentiality needs)
  • Set and confirm discovery meetings for the advisory team; manage handoffs and pre-call context
  • Handle common objections around valuation, confidentiality, deal complexity, and time requirements with empathy and clarity
  • Maintain clean CRM hygiene, track activity and conversion metrics, and iterate messaging based on results

What you will need to succeed

  • 3–5+ years of SDR/BDR experience with a strong track record in cold calling and outbound prospecting
  • Experience selling professional services to SMB or mid-market executives; comfort speaking with business owners and C-level leaders
  • Familiarity with M&A concepts or adjacent domains (valuation, due diligence, financing) and the ability to discuss them at a high level
  • High trust, discretion, and professionalism; able to convey confidentiality and credibility quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong discovery and objection handling
  • Proficiency with CRM and sequencing tools; disciplined, metrics-driven approach

Nice to have

  • Prior experience selling into owner-led businesses, CFOs/controllers, or advisors
  • Background in business brokerage, investment banking, search funds, private equity, or SBA lending ecosystems
  • Success booking meetings for advisory or high-consideration services

Compensation and logistics

  • Commission: $500 per qualified meeting that occurs and meets agreed-upon criteria (shared during onboarding)
  • Flexible, fractional engagement; 1099 contractor
  • Remote within the United States; ability to prospect during U.S. business hours

How to apply

  • Share a brief note highlighting relevant wins booking meetings with owner-led or executive buyers, links to any call recordings or sequences (if available), and your typical weekly capacity. We prioritize candidates who can demonstrate consistent, metrics-backed outbound performance.

  • Grow top of sales funnel through cold outbound campaigns
  • Call into mobile-enriched leads who fit the target persona
  • Pitch and qualify those leads
  • Generate sales-ready meetings and opportunities for Account Executives using qualification criteria
  • Utilize your active listening skills to understand and uncover customer needs and business problems to effectively communicate how the Client can solve them
  • Develop strong sales and product knowledge
