Our client is a fast-growing B2B fintech platform focused on helping businesses get paid reliably through bank-to-bank payment collection and accounts receivable (AR) automation. By reducing failed payments, cutting transaction costs associated with cards, and eliminating manual payment chasing, they give finance teams predictable cash flow and less administrative burden. With strong momentum and an expanding AE team, they’re hiring fractional SDRs to drive top-of-funnel pipeline into mid-market and enterprise finance organizations.

This is a fractional SDR role, which pays commissions of $900 per qualified meeting.

What you’ll do

  • Own outbound prospecting to finance leaders at mid-market and enterprise accounts
  • Build targeted lead lists, research accounts, and tailor messaging to each buyer persona
  • Run multi-channel outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn) to generate interest and book discovery calls
  • Qualify opportunities around pain (e.g., card fees, failed/late payments, manual collections), authority, timing, and fit
  • Confidently handle common objections (e.g., “we’re fine with cards,” “migration sounds hard,” “we already use bank transfers through our bank”)
  • Collaborate with AEs to ensure smooth hand-offs and strong show rates
  • Track activity and results in the client’s CRM and iterate outreach based on data
  • Provide voice-of-market feedback to improve sequences, targeting, and talk tracks

Ideal experience

  • 3–5+ years in outbound SDR/BDR roles with a track record of booking meetings in B2B SaaS or fintech
  • Experience selling to finance stakeholders: CFO, VP Finance, Controller, AR/Billing, Treasury
  • Comfort with value propositions around cash flow, payment reliability, cost reduction, and operational efficiency
  • Familiarity with recurring revenue and invoice-driven businesses (subscriptions, memberships, lending/repayments, high-value B2B invoices)
  • Bonus: knowledge of bank-to-bank payments, ACH/direct debit, AR automation, or finance system integrations (ERP, billing, accounting)
  • Proficient with modern sales tools (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot, Outreach/Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; persistent, organized, and data-driven

Target customer profile you’ll prospect

  • Mid-market to enterprise organizations using recurring or invoice-based payments
  • Key personas: CFO, VP Finance, Finance Director, Financial Controller, Head of Billing/AR, Treasury Manager
  • Common pain points: rising card fees, failed/late payments, manual collections, reconciliation overhead, and lack of cash flow predictability

Compensation & structure

  • Commission-only: $900 per qualified meeting
  • A qualified meeting typically meets all of the following:
    • Persona: Director+ within Finance (or equivalent budget/influence) at a qualified account
    • Pain/need: Clear relevance to improving collections, reducing failures/fees, or automating AR
    • Timing: Interest in evaluating solutions within the next 12 months
    • Logistics: Confirmed discovery call with an AE scheduled within 14 days and a meaningful business agenda
  • Flexible, fractional commitment; remote work across time zones

  • Grow top of sales funnel through cold outbound campaigns
  • Call into mobile-enriched leads who fit the target persona
  • Pitch and qualify those leads
  • Generate sales-ready meetings and opportunities for Account Executives using qualification criteria
  • Utilize your active listening skills to understand and uncover customer needs and business problems to effectively communicate how the Client can solve them
  • Develop strong sales and product knowledge
