Our client is a fast-growing cybersecurity SaaS company modernizing application security for the AI era. Their platform helps software teams find and fix risks earlier and faster by unifying core AppSec capabilities with deep code-to-cloud context and automated remediation. Deployments are lightweight and quick, enabling security leaders to reduce backlogs without asking developers to change how they work. The company is gaining meaningful traction with mid-market and enterprise software organizations and is investing in top-of-funnel growth to support a scaling AE team.

This is a fractional SDR role focused on outbound prospecting into security and engineering leadership to generate highly qualified discovery meetings.

This is a fractional SDR role, which pays commissions of $700 per qualified meeting.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive net-new pipeline via targeted outbound: cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and creative channels
  • Book and qualify discovery meetings with security decision-makers according to strict criteria
  • Run tight discovery to confirm pain, authority, and fit; set clean handoffs to AEs/founders
  • Personalize outreach using relevant triggers (security initiatives, hiring signals, technology stack)
  • Iterate messaging based on talk tracks, objection handling guides, and market feedback
  • Maintain accurate activity and meeting data in CRM; hit weekly activity and meeting targets

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 3–7+ years of B2B sales development or outbound prospecting experience
  • Proven success booking meetings with security or technical buyers (CISO, VP/Head of AppSec/Product Security, DevSecOps, or Security Engineering)
  • Fluency in selling modern B2B SaaS; comfortable discussing SDLC, CI/CD, and cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • High-velocity cold calling chops and the ability to craft concise, compelling emails
  • Disciplined qualification, discovery, and objection handling; coachable with a growth mindset
  • Bonus: Experience selling cybersecurity/AppSec, developer tools, or code analysis platforms

Ideal target accounts and buyers (for qualification):

  • US-based, software-first companies (SaaS, fintech, healthtech, or digital product)
  • 200–5,000 employees with 100+ engineers actively committing code
  • Cloud-first environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and a modern SDLC
  • Decision-makers: Manager+ in Application/Product Security or Security Engineering, or CISO at smaller orgs
  • Buying signals: using/considering code security tooling, hiring AppSec roles, recent security initiatives or compliance milestones, or visible backlog/pain in remediation velocity

What counts as a qualified meeting (and pays $700):

  • Account fits the target profile above (size, industry, US-based, cloud-first, software-led)
  • Meeting includes a Manager+ decision-maker for Application/Product Security (or CISO at sub-1,000 employee orgs)
  • Clear, acknowledged interest in improving application security posture and/or remediation velocity
  • Discovery completed and documented; AE/founder-accepted meeting
