United States (Remote) - $1,050 per qualified meeting

this post was created on behalf of one of Glencoco’s clients.

Our client is building a tech-enabled succession and exit-readiness platform for established small and mid-sized businesses. Combining proprietary AI with high-touch advisory, they help owners evaluate, prepare, and execute ownership transitions with confidence. The platform supports two primary paths: matching sellers with qualified individual or institutional buyers, and an anonymous market-feedback and valuation program that helps owners maximize outcomes when they choose to sell. With millions of Baby Boomer–owned companies approaching transition, the market is vast and growing quickly. The team is expanding top-of-funnel efforts to support a busy bench of senior advisors.

This is a fractional, remote SDR role paying $1,050 per qualified meeting.

What you’ll do

  • Drive outbound prospecting to owner-operators of established SMBs (phone-first with supporting email/LinkedIn)
  • Conduct crisp discovery to confirm fit and business readiness for a complimentary valuation and advisor consultation
  • Educate prospects on exit-readiness best practices and the value of early planning
  • Handle common objections empathetically (legacy, timing, taxes, “I am the business,” confidentiality)
  • Book and hand off qualified meetings to senior advisors; ensure strong show rates
  • Log activity and outcomes in CRM; maintain clean, accurate notes and next steps
  • Collaborate with advisors on targeting, messaging, and refinement of ICP

Ideal customer profile you’ll target

  • Owner-operated SMBs in traditional industries (e.g., industrial services, manufacturing, distribution, construction trades, B2B services)
  • Generally excluding restaurants, retail, software/tech, healthcare, and franchises
  • Established, profitable companies with multi-million annual revenue (often $10M+)
  • Owners considering a transition in the next 1–3 years and open to a complimentary valuation (willing to share financials under NDA)

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 5+ years of SDR/new business prospecting experience with a strong phone-first motion
  • Proven success booking meetings with SMB owners and senior executives
  • Comfort speaking with older owner personas (often 55–75) and navigating sensitive, legacy-related conversations
  • Excellent objection handling, discovery, and qualification discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication; confident, credible phone presence
  • Organized operator: CRM hygiene, sequencing, and consistent follow-through
  • US time zone coverage with reliable home office setup; 1099/fractional availability

Bonus points for

  • Experience in M&A, business-for-sale marketplaces, SBA lending, exit/succession planning, or wealth management
  • Familiarity with blue-collar and asset-heavy industries (industrial, manufacturing, logistics, specialty trades, distribution)
  • Track record improving show rates and conversion from booked meeting to engagement

Why this is a great role

  • Large, underserved market with clear pain and high intent when qualified correctly
  • Truly valuable offer: confidential, no-obligation valuation and clear next steps to maximize exit value
  • High earning potential on a fractional schedule with a simple, transparent commission structure

Compensation

  • Commission-only: $1,050 per qualified meeting that meets criteria and completes the advisor discovery call
  • 1099 contractor

How to apply

  • Share your resume or LinkedIn, a brief note on relevant SMB-owner prospecting experience, your weekly availability, and examples of results (e.g., meetings booked per week, show rate, conversion).

What you’ll do:

  • Grow top of sales funnel through cold outbound campaigns
  • Call into mobile-enriched leads who fit the target persona
  • Pitch and qualify those leads
  • Generate sales-ready meetings and opportunities for Account Executives using qualification criteria
  • Utilize your active listening skills to understand and uncover customer needs and business problems to effectively communicate how the Client can solve them
  • Develop strong sales and product knowledge

You’ll receive access to:

  • An deep pool of highly targeted, mobile enriched leads
  • Best-of-breed power dialer technology, which leverages smart algorithms to optimize the number of conversations you can have each hour
  • Easy to use, personal CRM for tracking the accounts you work
  • AI-assisted email tools

You should check out this role if:

  • You’re excited to work as a freelance SDR, and have the autonomy to work flexible hours
  • You’re based in the US and desire to work remotely
  • You have a laptop or desktop computer and stable internet connection

😄 Here's an example (but DON'T use the example verbatim). Be authentic to yourself:

”While working as an SDR at ZoomInfo, I set up an outreach sequence that leveraged text, calling and email. My sequence outperformed other reps on meeting set by 30%. My sequence was responsible for getting our foot in the door with Cisco!”
